Parent Letter 1:

The reason for providing Parent Letter 1 is to ensure that we are thoroughly communicating with parents regarding the use of digital resources and that they know how to help their child at home and where to access information.  The letter is a template that can be customized by teachers or department heads. Instructions for use:

  • The letter may be sent home in paper or digital (Skylert) form.
  • The letter may be sent home by individual teachers or as a department or grade level.
  • The letter will be translated into Spanish, as well as the overviews of each resource (translations in progress – posted as soon as complete). Any additional customizations would need to be translated by the teacher or campus.
  • Teachers can copy/paste the middle section blocks from this website (listing the resources) and add/remove those blocks as necessary.
  • Teachers should include the district-wide resources that are designated for their grade/class/course and may add/customize campus or classroom resources as appropriate.
  • Teachers or department heads should send Parent Letter 1 home within the first two weeks of school, as appropriate for their instruction.
  • Campus textbook coordinators will work with teachers or department heads to ensure that this communication goes home for all students.
